Mecha Game Concept Art: Mech by Seig-Verdelet Mecha Game Concept Art: Mech by Seig-Verdelet
A quick concept sketch for the proportions and overall shape of the mechs to be in my game.

The mechs will not be capable of independant flight, and i decided to place the main thrusters on the pelvis for two reasons.

1. frees up the back for weapons
2. the placement would aid the mech when running.

also as you can see, the game will be stylised so it would fit better on a smaller screen size as a flash game should

For some reason I'm suprised about the idea of a pelvis thruster...
I'm surprised, and yet 1. it really does make sense and 2. I'm a Zone of the Enders fan, why am I suprised when Kojima's idea of cockpit designs is so... word-accutate ^^;

The slightly bulkier arms do seem more appropriate. Both from style design to fit onto a smaller screen and keeping details, but also for a mechanical design for holding different kinds of weapons.

Yeh the thruster placement really depends on the mechs purpose. If its got big cannons on its back, then back throusters are a must to balance the force of fire.

Though Vega's (this one ) purpose is speed so a pelvis thuster was a better choice for running.

Yeh the zoe designs were shocking but... made so much sense..

well it depends on the amount of detail wanted, hi or low poly, and of course proportions.

Though i'll never make a mech as detailed as my 00 one again cause of the time it takes

yellow one?

Well a low poly model that is fully textured and rigged to be used of the bat would could at a minimum of 20 depending of detail and would include the orthographic drawings as standard.

So for an example a simple model like this concept one would could cost 20 (plus one or two weapons) but any extra equipment for example a big packpack would cost more.
